Quality Assurance Administrator – 1st Shift

Pay: $26.00 – $27.00 per hour

Position Summary

The Quality Assurance Administrator (SQF Practitioner) is responsible for overseeing and maintaining the quality and safety of all products and processes. This role leads the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems, ensuring compliance with SQF standards and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for improvement and ensure that all products consistently meet company and customer expectations.

Shift: 6am-2:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Oversee the SQF system, including its development, implementation, review, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Prepare and lead the site through SQF certification and audit processes.
  • Act as the SQF Practitioner, representing senior site management and ensuring system effectiveness.
  • Conduct routine inspections, audits, and product quality testing.
  • Identify, investigate, and resolve production and workflow issues in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Document quality activities and generate detailed audit and inspection reports.
  • Analyze data to identify trends, deviations, and root causes of quality issues.
  • Develop and monitor corrective and preventive action (CAPA) plans, ensuring timely completion.
  • Provide recommendations for continuous improvement across processes and systems.
  • Create and deliver training materials, procedures, and operating manuals to support quality standards.
  • Support product inspections and partner with other departments to resolve quality concerns.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of processes, equipment, and facility conditions.
  • Ensure readiness of products and processes prior to distribution or release.
  • Support crisis management efforts and maintain strong relationships with external auditors and partners.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in quality assurance, food safety, or manufacturing environment.
  • SQF Practitioner certification or strong working knowledge of SQF standards preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety regulations, GMPs, and quality systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills preferred (data analysis, tracking, reporting, and trending).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
